About the Project

The objective of the project was to streamline the recruiting process by maintaining Adecco’s multiple brands’ websites into a centralized WCMS with a common candidate and job data store. Each web site will offer core functionality such as Job Search and Resume Submission. In addition, the websites will provide access to a Self-Service Portal for respective candidates to maintain their profiles and manage their job applications. The business required a centralized back-office system for the recruiters to manage their business flows with posting jobs, searching candidates, so they can more efficiently match candidates to jobs. This allows them to ultimately better serve their clients.

A multilayer architecture was chosen to create an enterprise level scalable solution. Built using the Sitecore CEP to manage their public facing branded websites and the Candidate Management Self-Service Portal based on a MVVM architecture and SharePoint to drive their custom-built Recruiter Work Place for managing their recruitment back office workflows.

Bridging these front-office and back-office systems is a common Business Service Layer (BSL) utilizing Entity Frameworks with a RESTful architecture. The BSL interfaces with a Tibco Enterprise Service Bus to exchange data with other internal and external systems such as BroadBean for managing job postings and Search and Match.

The project was a collaboration of many experts for each layer. We were called in as Sitecore CEP experts playing the roles of Sitecore Solution Specialist, System Architect, .NET Developers, and Sitecore Developers.

We helped lead two sprint teams in an Agile methodology defining and enforcing Sitecore and .NET development standards. Our focus was on building a maintainable and scalable solution with long term growth in mind.
